WELCOME TO WGGMBUCC

Welcome players, guests, supporting staff, partners, and spectators – to BULA’s vintage event!

It is wonderful to see 16 GGM teams from all over the World in Praia da Rocha, and we are looking forward to sharing a magical week with you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Rules

The Official 2021-2024 WFDF 5-on-5 Beach Ultimate Rules are in use.

All games are to 45 minutes or 13 points, with half-time at 7 points or 25 minutes
Each team has one 75-second timeout per game
Halftime cap (+1) occurs after 25 minutes of game time if neither team has reached 7 goals
Half time is 0 minutes in duration
Time cap (+1) occurs after 45 minutes of game time if neither team has reached 13 goals

Medical Facilities

The emergency number in Portugal is 112. Regarding medical assistance, there will be doctors and physiotherapists at the venue, as well as an ambulance with two paramedics. All medical staff will be in red shirts. Please refer to the map for the medical facilities

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you feel dizzy, or are suffering from dehydration or exhaustion, please seek shade immediately, drink plenty of liquids and consult an on-site medical staff member.

Water

The tap water in Portugal is drinkable – Athletes are advised to refill their water bottles from the water stations around the venue or at the hotels/restaurants. There will be water near each field during the competition.

Lost and found

Please make sure to take care of your belongings. The organization is not responsible for theft or loss. There will be a lost and found in the player’s lounge. If you find valuable items such as wallets and phones, please bring them to the staff tent.

Do’s and Don’ts

Do use garbage bins and recycle properly – Don’t litter
Do use water wisely – the planet thanks you
Do tell local spectators about what the event is
Do use and look for #WGGMBUCC in social media
Do treat volunteers with respect
Don’t leave valuable items in the car
Don’t leave bags unattended
Don’t bring glass to the beach

Do have fun, be safe, drink water, wear sunscreen, stretch, and call your kids!
